    earned: $.25 eb
    cost: $3.35
cvs got $11 in man. coupons to be reimbursed

year to date savings: $618.82
spring 2011 spending: $23.19
year to date man. coupons used: $180.46

notes:for every 2 $1.87 rimmel foundations i used a $3 coupon, making them $.37 each. i used one $2 coupon on 2 $1.50 eye shadows, making those $.15 each.

i could have bought fewer items and had the coupons adjusted so that i only paid the tax. but if your store gives you a hard time about adjusting coupons, or if you'd rather get more make-up, this may be the way to go. the register will not prompt for adjustment so long as there is enough product total for the coupon to apply to. (there is always the small possibility that the cashier will insist on adjusting the coupon to the individual selling prices, in which case i would void the extra products from the transaction.)

these will add $13.52 to my beauty club total, which is the equivalent of about $1.35 back for these purchases.

$5 eb wyb $50 = 10% back
so 10% of $13.52 in beauty purchased today = $1.35 back

i don't actually count the beauty club eb until i reach the full $50, but it's something to consider when deciding if you want to do cosmetics deals.
